In March 2025, a friend strong-armed Gursimran into making a Jeevansathi account. He was so certain nothing would come of it that he bet the friend it wouldn't work. Ashrita was his very first match, and the first person he ever spoke to on it. What followed was months of texting before they ever heard each other's voices: they met in person before their first phone call, which finally happened on Ashrita's birthday and lasted all of five minutes. Somewhere between the banter and the long threads, it stopped being a maybe.
That bet is the only one Gursimran has ever been happy to lose.
Matched on Jeevansathi. First match, first conversation, and the bet against the app was already lost.
